Now students and daily wage earners can easily procure LPG cylinders

To help migrant workers, students and daily labourers, the government has now allowed free trade of 5kg LPG cylinders. This means no address proof is required to obtain 5 kg LPG cylinder. Users only need to hold a valid ID document for domestic use and self-declaration. LPG Dealers Federation president Chandra Prakash welcomed the move, while the petroleum ministry noted that DAC-based deliveries have surged by 90 per cent since March 23, with over 6.6 lakh bottles sold.Read the full story
