Himanta Biswa Sarma‘Bullet for bullet’ rhetoric echoed by defense minister
Rajnath Singhhe mentioned that perpetrators of violence were jailed or died after the BJP formed the government in the state. This is in line with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Introducing the metaphor of a “bulldozer” to illustrate his point.
Addressing a rally in Naxalbari in north Bengal state on Sunday, Sarma said: “If the TMC fires one bullet at me, I can fire two bullets at them before dying. I am not a person who is afraid of anyone.”
“After the BJP government is formed in the state, everyone will be cleaned up. The goons will either go home, go to jail or die,” Singh said while campaigning at Santiya in Birbhum on Monday.
Adityanath, who followed “bulldozer justice” in Uttar Pradesh by smashing the properties of criminals, gangsters and goons, echoed the theme at his pingla in West Midnapore on Monday. “We crushed the bones of the (Uttar Pradesh) mafia with bulldozers,” he said.
