Pakistan Super League (PSL) side Islamabad United suffered a shock after being hit on the head by a ball and briefly losing consciousness during a net-front training session at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Center on Tuesday.The incident occurred when team member Mark Chapman hit a ball that he was unable to control. The ball hit Sajjad in the back of his head and he fell to the ground, Pakistani news outlet Geo Super reported.The right-arm medium-fast bowler was admitted to a nearby hospital for check-up. Geo Super reports that Mir Hamza Sajjad is now conscious and stable. As a precaution, a CT scan will be performed to check for any damage.The incident disrupted training and left players and support staff worried. The team has yet to make an official statement, but the news that his condition is stable is a relief.Sajjad has played 6 T20 matches and taken 8 wickets. In 8 first-class matches, he took 25 wickets. The right-arm pacer was picked by Islamabad United for PKR 70 million in the first PSL player auction but is yet to make his PSL debut.In the PSL standings, Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United is ranked third with 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw, with 5 points and a net winning percentage of 1.055.Islamabad United will next face Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday.
