Thomas Brag, a member of the YouTube channel Yes Theory, visited La Rinconada and said the town was immediately nervous. He described it as “the meanest place” he had ever seen. He said that during his stay he witnessed frequent fights in the streets, often without anyone stepping in to stop them.
