‘Blatant insult’: Congress slams PM Modi after US official makes ‘allow India’ remarks on Russian oil
New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning his silence after remarks by US officials reiterate The United States “allowed” India to temporarily buy Russian oil.In a post on Congress asked: “Why did the Indian government not stand against this blatant insult to our sovereignty and dignity? Instead of defending India’s honor, Prime Minister Modi chose to remain silent.”
The party demanded a reply from the BJP-led government, claiming that Prime Minister Modi’s silence amounted to a silent admission. “So the country must ask: What is he afraid of? Why are India’s decisions decided from outside? Why is Narendra Modi being blackmailed by the US? The people of India deserve answers. Because India’s sovereignty is non-negotiable,” the Congress party added.ALSO READ | India once resisted pressure to buy Russian oil. Noise Pro 6R review: A reliable daily driver powered by AI
Noise remains at the forefront of this highly competitive market for affordable wearables. The Noise Pro 6R is their latest product that attempts to bridge the gap between high-end and budget. On paper, this watch promises a lot: a leather strap, an AMOLED display, built-in GPS, and more. The price tag is $6999, which seems like a good deal. Well, let’s prove it through a week-long test of the Noise Pro 6R.

Noise Pro 6R: Key Features and Ratings
How I tested Noise Pro 6R
I charged the Noise Pro 6R to 100% on Monday morning and wore it exclusively for 7 days while on vacation. During this time, I enabled continuous heart rate monitoring and tracked my daily walks. To get a baseline benchmark score, I also wore my long-time daily driver Huawei Watch. Comparing scores to the Apple Watch isn’t a fair test due to the price difference. My Huawei watch clearly shows the Pro 6R’s location.
Noise Pro 6R: Design and Build
One surprising thing about the Noise Pro 6R is that it doesn’t look like a smartwatch at first glance. It looks like a regular watch, thanks to the classic look of the leather strap.
Most budget smartwatches come with silicone straps, but the quality is usually not good due to budget constraints. The Pro 6R comes with a high-quality leather strap that fits perfectly into the round metal case. For me, the leather strap is a welcome addition at this price point.
The 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display is the highlight of this exhibition. With higher resolution and 1000 nits, colors are vibrant and content can be seen even in direct sunlight. The bezels are even and very thin, giving you a real watch feel when you use the analog watch face with a black background.
It has a light sensor for the auto-brightness feature, which is a lifesaver since you don’t always see it on budget smartwatches. No need to manually adjust the brightness when you go from a dim room to bright afternoon sunlight.
The watch does look big to someone with a slim wrist like me, but it’s surprisingly lightweight and durable. It’s IP68 water and dust resistant, making it one of the few budget watches with the highest IP rating.
Performance and health tracking features
These days, a smartwatch is only as good as its health-tracking sensors, so I set the heart-rate sensor to continuous monitoring during testing to keep the Pro 6R in rhythm. Results for heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and sleep tracking were very similar compared to my trusty Huawei watch. I’d say about a 2% to 4% difference, which isn’t a big deal since my Huawei watch is a high-end watch.
Built-in GPS is a feature that every fitness enthusiast loves, and the Noise Pro 6R has GPS too. I tested the GPS on my morning run and the data synced seamlessly with the Strava app. This makes this watch a legitimate tool for anyone training for a virtual marathon or wanting to track their progress.
Noise Pro 6R software and features
The Pro 6R’s software is beautiful and intuitive, with some of the best features you won’t find on other budget smartwatches. Super Notifications only show you the important parts of notifications without browsing the entire notifications on your smartphone. It optimizes notifications from popular apps like Uber, Blinkit, Zepto, GPay, Amazon, and more. It’s very convenient to check Uber’s OTP and Zeptos delivery countdowns without having to open the app on your phone.
The NoiseFit app is clean and simple, it displays a digital health summary when you open it, and the fun part is the watch face customization. You can use IA to generate watch faces, and if you’re tired of static watch faces, you can set up video watch faces. Not only that, but the watch also has its own voice assistant so you can perform actions on the watch, such as calories burned today or ask it to set an alarm, just by using your voice.
Noise Pro 6R Battery
Noise claims 7 days of battery life, and during my testing you got about 4 to 5 hours of battery backup with continuous HR on. I have to charge the watch before the weekend. However, if you are an advanced user who wants to use the GPS and AOD features, the battery backup time drops significantly to around 3 days at most. The magnetic pogo pin charger charges quickly; the watch can be fully charged in approximately 2 hours.
Noise Pro 6R Pros and Cons
advantage:
- Made of high-quality metal with exquisite leather strap.
- Stunning AMOLED display with rare automatic brightness sensor.
- Super Notifications provide real utility for everyday apps like Uber and GPay.
- Reliable GPS and Strava integration.
shortcoming:
- When AOD is enabled, battery life is severely affected.
- It may feel a bit bulky for very small wrists.
Should you buy Noise Pro 6R?
The Noise Pro 6R proves what’s possible in today’s budget smartwatches. Not exactly “budget” though $6,999, the Noise Pro 6R is a steal. If you are looking for a budget smartwatch with more features than other budget smartwatches, the Noise Pro 6R is the perfect watch for you.

North Korea supports Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, slams US and Israel for “undermining regional peace”
north korea Expressed support for the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new supreme leader, while condemning the “illegal” military attack by the United States and Israel that killed Iran’s former leader. North Korea’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday that Pyongyang respects Tehran’s decision to appoint Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ali Khamenei.Al Jazeera quoted the Korean Central News Agency as saying: “As for the Iranian expert meeting’s recent official announcement to elect a new leader of the Islamic revolution, we respect the right and choice of the Iranian people to elect the supreme leader.” The spokesman also criticized the United States and Israel for launching what they called illegal attacks on Iran. The spokesperson said: “We express serious concern and strongly condemn the aggressive behavior of the United States and Israel. The illegal military attacks launched by the United States and Israel against Iran are undermining the foundation of regional peace and security and exacerbating the instability of the international landscape.”The statement also said that such actions undermine “a country’s political system and territorial integrity” and are unacceptable and “must be condemned and rejected by the world.” The conflict began with a U.S. and Israeli attack on February 28 that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, sparking ongoing war in the region. North Korea had earlier criticized the offensive, calling it a “gangster-like act.”In addition, North Korean leaders Kim Jong Un Oversaw another strategic cruise missile test launch by the country’s newest destroyer, the USS Choi Hyun. During the launch, Kim Jong Un spoke of the need to maintain and expand nuclear deterrence. Al Jazeera said he referred to the strategic mission of “maintaining and expanding a strong and reliable nuclear war deterrent.” The test marked the second missile launch from a destroyer commanded by Kim Jong Un, who has recently praised efforts to arm the country’s navy with nuclear weapons. The United States has long sought to dismantle North Korea’s nuclear program, while Pyongyang has argued that its weapons are necessary to deter potential threats from South Korea and its allies in Washington. In recent months, however, U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has signaled a willingness to resume high-level talks with North Korea, while Kim Jong Un has said the two countries could “live in harmony” if Washington recognized Pyongyang’s status as a nuclear power.
‘India are too good for such thoughts’: Gambhir shuts down pitch customization after T20 World Cup
New Delhi: India Head Coach Gautam Gambhir Strongly denied the accusation that India’s pitches were “tailor-made” to favor the home team, saying the team was too strong to even consider such a strategy. After India’s successful campaign at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Gambhir said criticism of pitch conditions often only creates controversy and attracts attention.Push boundaries with our YouTube channel. Subscribe now!“I don’t agree with that. Why would you customize something? Honestly, India is a very good team and would not even consider such a thing,” Gambhir said in an interview to ANI.He pointed out that India’s ability to achieve high scores was not limited to domestic conditions and highlighted similar high-scoring performances in countries such as Australia and South Africa.
“In the T20 format, whether in Australia or South Africa, we have given 200 runs. If we had run 200 overs in India, the wickets would have been customized. So I think some people want to create controversy. Statements against views and TRPs should not be accepted,” he said. The former opener also stressed that pitch preparations during the global tournament are overseen by the International Cricket Council and not the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Also read: India team report card: A happy ending to a less-than-perfect T20 World Cup journey“Because sometimes it’s also important to give a lot of credit to the players. It’s not like we scored such big scores only in Indian conditions. In the ICC tournament, they controlled the wickets. This is not BCCI Control them,” Gambhir said.Citing the example of Colombo’s group stage match against Pakistan, Gambhir noted that India scored huge goals at the turn while other teams struggled to score competitive points.“We even played a match against Pakistan in Colombo where we scored around 180 and other teams scored 140. We beat Pakistan by a huge margin and no one questioned the pitch there,” he said.Gambhir added that modern T20 cricket naturally produces high scores as the format heavily favors the batsmen.“No one wants to come and watch a 120-over T20 match. Everyone wants to watch a high-scoring game. It’s a worldwide phenomenon – it’s the same in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and England,” he explained.

UAE confirms six months of stocks of essential goods, ensuring no shortages amid market crackdown | World News
The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has stepped up inspections of the market to keep prices stable and ensure the supply of essential goods, assuring residents that the country has strategic reserves of key items to meet needs for up to six months. The ministry said inspection teams are conducting routine inspections at shops and retail outlets across the country. These inspections are conducted in coordination with the economic development departments of all emirates through the National Joint Monitoring Team. The move aims to prevent unreasonable price increases, curb unsound business practices and maintain close supervision of market activities.
Authorities said retailers must comply with consumer protection regulations, particularly rules on pricing of essential goods. Under current policy, traders are not allowed to increase prices of certain basic commodities without prior approval from the ministry and the state committee responsible for monitoring price changes. The rule applies to nine essential commodities: cooking oil, eggs, dairy products, rice, sugar, poultry, beans, bread and wheat. The ministry also addressed the increase in onion and tomato prices reported over the past two days. Officials said the increase was temporary and related to the impact of the regional crisis. Additional supplies of these vegetables have been shipped to the market in large quantities to stabilize supply.Authorities stressed that essential goods remain in sufficient quantities and that consumers have access to a variety of alternatives. Prices are expected to return to normal levels soon as supply continues to increase, officials added. The ministry said the UAE maintains strategic stocks of essential commodities capable of meeting market demand for up to six months. These reserves are distributed in different regions of the country through a system designed to strengthen supply chains and allow authorities to respond quickly to market needs in emergencies.Officials also confirmed that transport and supply operations through the country’s entry points are still operating normally. Supply chains remain efficient and goods reach local markets without interruption. The UAE also relies on an extensive network of international partner markets to supply imports of various commodities. This enables authorities to quickly secure alternative sources in the event of a disruption.Since the outbreak of the regional crisis, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and local economic development authorities have carried out some 7,105 inspections of markets across the country. A total of 567 violations were found during this inspection, most of which were related to unreasonable price increases. The authorities issued 449 warnings to traders, suppliers and retail stores and imposed fines totaling Dh207,250.The ministry said monitoring activities will continue in the coming period to ensure market stability and protect consumers.Residents are encouraged to report price increases or violations through official channels. DailyObjects launches Qi2.2 magnetic case ecosystem for Samsung Galaxy S26 series
DailyObjects has announced the launch of a new range of cases and accessories in India designed specifically for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. The company has expanded its Stack Magnetic ecosystem to include support for Android flagship devices. The system is built around the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium.
The launch also brings a magnetic accessory system to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra models. According to the company, the ecosystem includes cases and attachable accessories designed to work via a magnetic alignment system.
Magnetic design and wireless charging
The Stack system places a magnetic structure inside the watch case. This arrangement helps align the smartphone with a compatible wireless charger. Proper alignment ensures that the charging coil inside the phone is properly connected to the charger.
Improperly placed wireless chargers can slow down charging or generate heat. The magnetic array is designed to reduce this problem by guiding the phone into place. Once aligned, the device supports wireless charging speeds of up to 25W.
The system complies with the Qi 2.2 standard, the latest update to the Wireless Power Alliance’s wireless charging technology. The standard focuses on improving charging stability and efficiency through magnetic guidance.
Early wireless charging setups often relied on users correctly placing their phones on the charging pad. The Qi2.2 system introduces a magnetic ring to help automatically position the device. This reduces the need to adjust the phone during charging.
Case designed as a platform for accessories
DailyObjects designed the Stack case as the basis for an accessory system. The boxes are constructed of polycarbonate with an outer frame of thermoplastic polyurethane. The frame allows the case to fit around the device while helping absorb shock.
A microfiber layer inside the case protects the back panel of your phone from dust and minor marks. The case also features a 1.2mm raised edge around the camera area to prevent contact with flat surfaces.
Modular accessories
The ecosystem supports connectable modules through a system called Stack-and-Lock. Users can attach accessories such as phone handles, stands, and lanyards directly to the case.
The modules are connected using magnetic rings inside the housing. The design allows users to remove or replace accessories without removing the case from the phone.

Trump Florsheim Shoes: Who Received Gifts from the President of the United States and How Much Did He Spend? Details here
president Donald Trump He reportedly began giving away a pair of Florsheim shoes to many people he met. This includes lawmakers, agency heads, White House advisers and VIPs, according to Wall Street Journal.

“All the boys are wearing them,” one White House official jokingly told the publication, while another commented, “It’s hysterical because everyone is afraid of not wearing them.”
Florsheim is an American brand founded in Chicago in 1892 and is now part of the Weyco Group. Florsham supplied American soldiers in both world wars and enjoyed further success amid the shopping center boom. Celebrities who have worn Florsheim shoes include former President Harry Truman and singer Michael Jackson.

According to the publication, Trump has “fallen in love” with the brand, with the president even guessing the size of the shoes and sending a pair to a chosen person. Sometimes, Trump would include a thank-you note or sign the box, the report added.
Trump began searching last year for shoes that would make him feel better after a long day at work, eventually settling on Florsham. Now, he can’t seem to stop giving them away to people. Here’s everyone who owns a pair of Trump-branded Florsheim shoes, and how much the president paid for them.
Florsheim shoes: Who received gifts from Donald Trump?
Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson was among those who received a pair of Florsheim shoes from Trump. Others include Vice President JD VanceSecretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, Secretary of Defense Peter Heggsand Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
In addition, Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung, deputy chief of staff James Blair and speechwriter Ross Worthington also have a pair.
Fox News personality Sean Hannity and Senator Lindsey Graham also each have a pair. The list is not exhaustive, and Trump is understood to have gifted the shoes to at least one other unnamed congressman who attended the Rubio-Vance meeting.
Florsheim shoes: How much did the president spend?
The White House told the Wall Street Journal that Trump reportedly paid for the Florsham shoes he gave away. While the specific model of shoe will determine the price, the average shoe at Florsheim sells for about $145.
Therefore, Trump spent at least about $1,740 on these gifts. According to Forbes, Trump’s net worth is estimated to be approximately $6.5 billion as of 2026. Therefore, Florsham shoes won’t have much of an impact on the president’s finances.
Confirm, delete, then clarify: U.S. changes stance on Navy “escort” of oil tankers in Strait of Hormuz
Confirm, delete, then clarify. back Donald TrumpThe aide boasted in a post that was quickly deleted that the U.S. Navy had “successfully escorted” an oil tanker through the troubled Strait of Hormuz. The White House later clarified that the United States was not escorting any tankers through the critical waterway, which remains at the center of an ongoing crisis in the Middle East.“The U.S. Navy successfully escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure oil continues to flow to global markets,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright wrote in a now-deleted post on X.Shifting narrative sparks volatility in global markets, oil prices plunge after energy minister Chris Wright’s original post. Wright deleted the post a few minutes after posting it on X, and the price subsequently recovered some of its losses.Meanwhile, the White House moved to correct the narrative. “I can confirm that the U.S. Navy is not escorting tankers or ships at this time, but that is certainly an option,” White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt said at a press briefing.Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also denied the claim, saying no U.S. naval ship “dare” approach the Strait of Hormuz and calling Wright’s statement “a pure lie.”A DOE spokesperson told AFP that “a video clip was removed from Secretary Wright’s official X account after it was determined that DOE staff’s subtitles were incorrect.”According to data compiled by the UK Maritime Trade Organization (UKMTO), the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Iranian authorities, at least 10 oil tankers were attacked, targeted or reported to have been attacked in or near the Strait of Hormuz between March 1 and 10.
price fluctuations
Nearly one-fifth of the world’s oil production passes through the strait. Tehran has warned that it will not export any products from the Gulf while the war continues.More than 20 commercial ships have crossed the strait since March 2, according to an AFP analysis of shipping tracker maritime traffic data.Other ships turned off their transponders to hide their locations as they passed, sometimes only to reappear on ocean trackers after safely leaving the area. Before the war, an average of 138 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz every day.U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has tried to calm global markets since the war began, offering reinsurance to shipping lines and U.S. Navy escort tanker services.Crude oil prices have fluctuated sharply amid fears of supply disruptions. On Monday, oil prices rose nearly 30% to around $120 a barrel before falling back.Prices continued to fall after Trump made comments on Monday suggesting the war could end soon, even as his defense secretary vowed to carry out “the most intense day of attacks” inside Iran the next day.The conflict has already led to attacks on Iranian oil depots and attacks on the energy infrastructure of wealthy Gulf states, long seen as safe havens in the volatile Middle East.
