Ann Coulter’s comments about India’s caste system spark new debate.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week signed a bill banning Florida courts from applying foreign laws, including Sharia law. conservative writer Ann CoulterHer comments sparked a massive debate because she didn’t mention anything about laws or bills; she talked about the caste system in India. Ann Coulter responded to a post saying Sharia law is incompatible with America: “What about banning the caste system in India? That’s even more incompatible with America.” “Today in Tampa, I signed HB 1471 to protect Floridians’ constitutional rights from the application of foreign and religious law, including Sharia law. This legislation also establishes a framework to combat terrorist organizations and ensures greater accountability for our education system. Millions of dollars are spent on education and public safety, but not a penny on jihad! ” Ron DeSantis announced. Social media users questioned how Ann Coulter could once again express her anti-India hatred, which has nothing to do with India. “At this point, anti-India hatred is definitely a coordinated effort with influential people. Everyone is doing it at the same time,” one of them wrote. Some users told her that there is no actual caste system in India, while others thanked her for raising the issue. Suhag Shukla, executive director of the Hindu Foundation of America, wrote in response to Coulter’s remarks: “I’ve been telling you all along… that the radical academic left and the xenophobic far right are in complete agreement when it comes to targeting Hindus. The reasons are different, but the methods are the same.”In 2024, Coulter told Vivek Ramaswamy that she could never vote for him because Ramaswamy was Indian. At that time, Ramaswamy was a presidential candidate. After the racist comment sparked controversy, Coulter said it was not racist. “Black people have been here longer than most white people. It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with being citizens for at least three generations. I think that’s a good rule.”“There’s a reason the Founders wanted presidents to be born — but Ted Cruz wasn’t,” Coulter said. “President is unlike any other office. I told him (Ramaswamy) that he can be secretary of state, Supreme Court judge, governor. But president, I think we have to wait for the third generation.”
