Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 15 of IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and it will be a crucial clash for both the sides albeit for different reasons.KKR, still looking for their first win of the season, lost their first match before a rain-soaked match brought them the only point. In contrast, LSG bounced back from a first-round loss to DC with a win against SRH. This sets up a battle between a team under pressure and a team full of confidence. Here are 5 players who could shape today’s KKR vs LSG clash

Cameron Green – KKR

Cameron Green made headlines in the IPL mini-auction 2025 with a record-breaking bid of Rs 25.2 crore to join the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, he had a slow start to the season, scoring just 24 runs in three innings (18 against MI, 2 against SRH and 4 against PBKS) while batting at number three and four. Initially deployed as a specialist batsman due to a lower back injury, Green has now been cleared by Cricket Australia to resume bowling, which could add vital balance to KKR’s line-up against LSG.

Mohammad Shami – LSG

Mohammad Shami, who was acquired by Lucknow Supergiants for Rs 10 crore, has been in excellent form. On his LSG debut, he got a golden duck by removing KL Rahul on the first ball and became the only bowler in the history of IPL to take five wickets in his opening overs. He then had a brilliant performance of 2/9 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which included 18 dots. Shami, who is familiar with Eden Gardens from his domestic cricket career, could pose a major threat to KKR’s top order.

Rishabh pants-LSG

After a challenging 2025 season in which he averaged 24.45 points per game, Rishabh Pant started the 2026 IPL in strong form. The third-placed LSG skipper hit a match-winning 50-ball 68 against Sunrisers Hyderabad to lead his team to victory. His form and leadership will be crucial against KKR.

Blessings Muzarabani – KKR

Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani made an immediate impact for KKR, including four wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He joined the team after performing well in the 2026 T20 World Cup, taking 13 wickets in 6 games. His speed and jumping could play a key role at Eden Gardens.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi – KKR

Angkrish Raghuvanshi has emerged as a versatile asset for KKR this season and has even taken on wicketkeeping duties to improve the balance of the team. He was at the top of the batting order and impressed with a run of fifty runs in the first game. Playing at home in Kolkata, he could be a key contributor against LSG.
