Ness added: “Some incriminating material has been discovered but the details of which cannot be disclosed at this stage.” An FIR was received in Guwahati around midnight on Sunday after Kaira and Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi alleged that Riniki held passports from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Antigua and Barbuda, owned properties in Dubai and transferred assets through US shell companies. The case includes charges of forgery under BNS, among other charges.CM Sarma denied the allegations, saying the documents shown in Congress were “artificial intelligence-generated fake documents”. “Kaira had made a request to the Assam police to arrest him, but I came to know through the media that the police went to his residence in Delhi but he escaped to Hyderabad. The law will take its own course,” Sarma said. Opposition voices have intensified their calls for a review. Congress ally Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi has called for a CBI probe into the allegations that the Sarma family holds assets abroad. The statement said he should have faced police instead of running away after such a serious allegation.Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said the deployment of “full police force” to arrest Kaira for raising basic questions in public interest was proof that the chief minister was “disturbed, desperate and disturbed”. He said Salma behaved like a bully and was uncomfortable with issues raised in the public interest.Regarding this action, he said: “This is not due process, but a political persecution, a bully using state machinery to silence and silence the voices of the opposition and expose his many black deeds.
