- With a looming deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz, he said, “Iran could be wiped out overnight, and that night could be tomorrow night.”
- “American military personnel faced very close fire during the rescue operation in Iran,” the US president said of the rescue operation of the two pilots. “God is watching us,” he added, referring to the success of the rescue operation.
- He further added, “The second rescue mission in Iran involved 155 aircraft.” Trump also said that more than 170 US military aircraft were deployed in the Iran rescue mission, including 21 in the first operation and 155 in the second, adding that two transport planes were destroyed after becoming stuck in the sand.

He said he would “demand that media organizations reveal the name” of the source of the Iran rescue leak, warning that it was a “national security” matter and that those responsible could face jail time if they did not cooperate.
