More than 60 days have passed since I turned 84 years old Nancy Guthrie Already disappeared from her side Home in Tucson Early morning on February 1st, Catalina Foothills. Authorities believe she was kidnapped, but there have been no major breakthroughs yet.

Early missteps and inexperience raise concerns for investigation
during an interview news nation Senior National correspondent Brian Entin, a source familiar with the investigation, revealed that officers on the scene made a critical early mistake when they assumed Nancy simply walked away rather than treating the situation as a potential crime.
Sources told Entin: “Talking to some people who are actually close to this investigation, they tell me there was a rush to judge what happened at the scene and that somehow Nancy walked away.”
“So they rushed this verdict, stood by it and then conducted this investigation as if it was a search and rescue issue rather than a possible criminal matter,” the source added.

The source also expressed concerns about the experience of leading investigators.
According to them, the officer on scene “was not a lifelong homicide detective” and “did not have much experience in homicide at the time, including as a supervisor, who, to my knowledge, had never investigated a homicide before being appointed supervisor of the homicide unit.”
When Brian Entin asked how someone like that ended up leading the department, the source said: “Well, you see, you’re making decisions that are made by people who are going to plant their friends and do things for them, not by people who are capable and can do their jobs right.”
Sources also said department morale around Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is “extremely low.” They added, “There are no immediate suspects…no names at this time.”
Despite these concerns, sources said the team remains concerned about the case. “Just because we have incompetent leadership, doesn’t mean we don’t care… We don’t want Nancy to come home safe and we don’t support her. We fully support her and her family,” they said.

Nancy Grace also asked a question
Speaking on Sean Hannity’s show, legal commentator and true crime broadcaster Nancy Grace strongly criticized the investigation and called for the sheriff’s resignation. she told fox news “By destroying the crime scene and releasing the crime scene prematurely, they destroyed a lot of evidence,” she said.
She also objected to people using softer terms to describe what happened. “People calling them ‘blunders,’ which is certainly perfumed pigs, isn’t it? That’s a euphemism for ‘blunders’ — they screwed up. The federal government doesn’t do that,” she said.
Can this case be solved?
Former Orange County prosecutor Matt Murphy said he believes the case will one day be solved but warned that it could take a long time unless someone comes forward with information. Speaking on Tuesday’s show Professor Qiao explainshe shared his thoughts.
“I think eventually they’re going to catch this guy,” Murphy said. “There will be answers. But it might take – I mean, I’ve worked on cold cases sometimes from 15, 20 years ago, so, it’s going to take a while. I think somebody’s got to talk.”
