After a quiet start, the pair took control in the power play, holding Sudan to 83 points in the first six overs. Farhan completed his half-century off just 25 balls and maintained his pace even as wickets fell at the other end. Hyderabad Kings made a brief comeback through Hasan Khan and Saim Ayub, but Shan Masood’s brisk performance of 29 off 16 balls ensured the chase continued.In the final stages, Arafat Mihas completed the final blow with an unbeaten 26 off 11 balls. Farhan completed his century with a 19th century and quickly sealed the victory with six runs.Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen posted a stunning 225 for 5 on the back of explosive knocks from Maaz Sadaqat and Sharjeel Khan. Maz’s 62 off 26 balls took him to his 50 in just 19 deliveries, while Sharjeel remained unbeaten on 51 off 26 balls. Despite a stellar batting performance, the Kings, led by Marnus Labuschagne, suffered a three-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans started their campaign in impressive fashion with back-to-back wins.

Farhan joins T20 elite club

Farhan’s knock marked his ninth T20 century, taking him joint fourth on the all-time list with Virat Kohli and Rilee Rossouw. Notably, he broke the record of Virat and Rossouw and became the second fastest player to reach this milestone in terms of innings (160 innings), second only to Chris Gayle (127 innings) who led the leaderboard with 22 innings.Now, he is behind only Gayle (22), Babar Azam (11) and David Warner (10) in the T20 hundred list.Earlier this year, Farhan also etched his name in the history books during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, becoming the first player to score two centuries in a single edition and surpassing Virat Kohli’s record of most runs in a single tournament. He scored 383 points in seven games with an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. Virat Kohli scored 319 runs in the 2014 T20 World Cup, a record that stood for more than 12 years.
