The sergeant who led to the arrest of Taylor Robinson in the sting Charlie Kirk Resigned suddenly and announced his retirement. Sheriff Nate Brooksby announced his resignation Friday, according to reports, after individuals related to the operations of the Sheriff’s Office filed undisclosed complaints with Washington County, Utah. They said his resignation resolved the complaint because the complainant did not want to pursue it, sparking intense speculation on social media about what might have happened. Speculation has grown louder after new legal documents claim the bullet used to kill Charlie Kirk did not match the rifle recovered from Taylor Robinson. Conspiracy theories that Taylor Robinson was not the real murderer and that he was just a scapegoat began to flourish again, and they are now tied to Brooksby’s resignation because Brooksby helped Taylor Robinson turn himself in. Robinson’s family knew the retired deputy sheriff through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and asked for his help in negotiating Robinson’s peaceful surrender. After Robinson turned himself in and was arrested, Brooksby said: “Part of the negotiation to get him to turn himself in was that we would approach it as delicately and gently as possible to make him feel comfortable showing up in my office.”Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted: “The Sheriff resigned after news broke that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms could not match a bullet to Taylor Robinson’s gun.” “Where are all those neocons who were ‘crushed’ by the non-existent evidence against Taylor Robinson? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Hope it’s worth your souls,” Candace Owens, who has been claiming Taylor Robinson was a cover-up after the bullet was found.
