Hill Country College Preparatory High School Blocked
This shooting incident resulted in hilly country College Preparatory High School was placed on lockdown, with a major law enforcement response and efforts to reunite students.
The student was pronounced dead at the scene. There has been no comment on his identity. Officials have not yet clarified what led to the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
Comal County Officials Sheriff’s The department said this was not a shooting and there is no danger to any students at this time.
Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the area of Mustang Vista, near the school, after reports of shots fired.
Sheriff’s statement
Later, school officials said the campus was safe and the threat was under control. They also informed that students will be transferred to Bulverde Middle School, located at 29975 Wiley Road, to be reunited with their parents.
“We understand how scary this is for families and the entire community. Thank you for your patience and helping us share accurate information,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “We will continue to update you as we learn more information.”
