Doubts echoing in PAK vs USA T20 World Cup match

The latest controversy has brought renewed attention to the incident that took place during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and the United States in Dallas.During that game, Zaman was seen catching the ball and holding it under his jersey for an extended period of time, seemingly manipulating the ball with his hands, which aroused suspicion among American players. This behavior differs from traditional ball rubbing, which typically involves rubbing the ball with one hand.Soon after, the ball began to reverse significantly, and despite Team USA being in a strong position, hitting the ball became more difficult. The game eventually went to the Super Finals, with Team USA winning. The U.S. players reportedly raised concerns with officials including fourth referee Rod Tucker and match referee Jeff Crowe, but no formal charges were filed at the time, Cricbuzz reported.Inconclusive questionWhile neither incident has resulted in proven criminal conduct so far, the similarities in timing and nature have heightened scrutiny of Zaman. Both situations occurred when his team was under pressure. With the PSL hearing pending, the outcome could determine whether this remains an isolated dispute or evolves into a larger issue. For now, Zaman maintains his innocence, but the spotlight on his actions has never been greater.
