George Schweigert injured in Bridgeport Speedway crash
On March 21, New York driver George Schweigar was involved in a crash during the 602 Crate Sportsman B-Main race at Bridgeport Speedway. His car collided with Dave Milosar’s spinning vehicle, causing Schweigar to be seriously injured.
He was flown from Logan Township and later discovered Milosa’s car struck him in the head, causing a brain injury. Further medical evaluation revealed he had suffered a series of serious injuries: head trauma resulting in brain bleeding, two neck fractures, rib fractures, facial fractures and lower back fractures. He remains sedated and is showing signs of improvement and responsiveness.
