Hernando County has issued a Level 3 evacuation alert. FloridaA brush fire broke out Sunday afternoon near Shoal Line Boulevard near the Weeki Wachee Reservation in western Hernando County.
According to Watch Duty, wildfire It covers more than 125 acres, causing evacuations in the area east of Shoal Line Boulevard between Calienta Street and Osowaw Boulevard. Several buildings were reportedly threatened.
The Hernando County Fire Department updated on Facebook that they are now calling the fire the Shoal Line Fire, named after Shoal Line Boulevard where the brush fire occurred.

Video of the brush fire and the massive emergency response underway was shared on social media. Thick smoke rose from the area as firefighters tried to control the blaze.
