New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Prayers to Lord Ram on Friday and attended virtually at ayodhyaRam Mandir.Earlier in the day, he extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Ram Navami and wished that the festival would bring new energy and enthusiasm in the lives of the people.
He said toPresident Drupadi Murmu also extended his greetings and wrote, “My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all our countrymen on the holy festival of Ram Navami. This festival carries the message of religion, justice and responsibility. Lord Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram exemplified the noble ideals of sacrifice, commitment, harmony and bravery to humanity.”“His concept of good governance, Ram Rajya, is considered ideal. I hope that on this auspicious occasion, all countrymen will pledge to work together to create a developed India,” the President added.Devotees thronged temples in large numbers across the country, including Ayodhya, to celebrate the occasion. Authorities have introduced enhanced security measures, including drone surveillance and zoning arrangements, to manage the influx of pilgrims.Ram Navami is celebrated every year on the last day of Chaitra Navaratri to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama. On this day, young girls representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga receive gifts and prasad.
