A Florida man faces multiple criminal charges after he drove a car under the influence of alcohol and drugs through a security gate at Daytona Beach International Airport and attempted to break into several planes.The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon when 58-year-old Bryan Parker crashed his car inside a restricted entrance to the Daytona Beach, Florida, airport, according to police. Once in a secure area, Parker drove to the airport, where private and charter planes were parked.Investigators said Parker got out of his car and attempted to enter three different planes. He managed to get into one of the planes, which was not carrying passengers. A nearby airport technician saw what was happening and was able to pull someone from the plane before anyone was injured.Parker then ran toward another plane and attempted to re-enter, but was stopped by airport staff and law enforcement officers who rushed to the scene, authorities said.Police reports said Parker appeared to be intoxicated. During his arrest, body camera footage captured him admitting that he had been drinking and using drugs. He told police he had attended an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting earlier but later began drinking alcohol and using cocaine and marijuana.No one was injured in the incident and no aircraft was damaged, according to officials.Parker was taken into custody at the scene. He currently faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence, trespassing in a secure area of an airport and attempting to illegally enter an aircraft.The incident remains under investigation and authorities are reviewing security footage and gathering more details about how Parker broke through the airport gate and entered the airport.
