On March 20, Jessi Pierce took her children to the seasonal opening of local ice cream stand Cup and Cone in White Bear Lake. She posted a photo from the day on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Bag is safe.”
As it turns out, this was Jessie’s last post before she and her children passed away. In the photo, children can be seen happily enjoying ice cream sprinkles and sandwiches.
Social media users ask ‘where is the husband?’
Social media users have been revisiting the post following the tragic death of the mother and her baby, with many retweeting it to share her last happy moments. The post has received 7.4 million views so far.
User X pointed out that Jesse’s husband, Mike Hinrichs, was not at the recent family outing. However, HT.com could not independently confirm whether he attended the family outing.
Responding to the post, one person wrote: “Why, why, why? It makes me sick knowing this happened. Where is the husband?”
“Why didn’t your husband come?” another commented.
According to the Daily Mail, her husband Hinrich was working away from home when the incident occurred.
What caused the White Bear Lake Fire?
The charred remains of Jessie and her children were found in their home, and all were pronounced dead at the location. Several neighbors reported seeing flames engulfing the house while a family remained inside. Authorities have not yet released full details about the cause of the fire and the investigation is ongoing.
