The Israel Defense Forces said Iran had launched a long-range missile with a range of about 4,000 kilometers for the first time since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, warning that the development posed a broader global threat.“For the first time, Iran’s terrorist regime has launched a long-range missile… with a range of about 4,000 kilometers,” the military said, adding that the capability meant the missile “could reach London, Paris or Berlin.”The Israel Defense Forces said it had previously revealed during Operation Lion in June 2025 that Iran was seeking to develop missiles with a range of 4,000 kilometers, saying it would threaten “dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.” Iran denied at the time that it was pursuing such a capability.“We have always said: Iran’s terrorist regime poses a global threat,” the statement said.Iran has launched attacks against 12 countries in the region and is continuing to develop capabilities that “pose a broader threat,” the report added.This comes as conflicts in the Middle East continue, with both Israel and Iran attacking each other.
