Rummel pleaded not guilty at a court hearing after his arrest. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. Alexis Wilkins was not identified in court documents as the alleged victim. Instead, the indictment against Rummel describes her only as an unnamed individual with personal ties to “senior employees of the United States Government.”She was in Arizona when she received the email, according to court documents. An FBI agent testified that she said she was “frightened by the threatening emails and changed her upcoming travel arrangements as a result.”The email was easily traced to Rule, who told agents at his job in Cambridge, Mass., that he was “disturbed” by the news article, the affidavit said. He denied any intention to harm anyone.Alexis Wilkins and her movement remain under intense public scrutiny because of her relationship with Kash Patel, which neither of them have tried to hide. Because of the large age gap, Wilkins was called a “honeypot” and an “Israeli agent.” Country music singer and political commentator Wilkins is suing social media influencers who spread misinformation about her, while Kash Patel faces questions for using FBI resources for personal travel, including visiting his girlfriend and attending her events. Reports suggest that Patel even deployed a SWAT team from the agency’s Nashville field office to protect his girlfriend.
