After a 2023 video of a domestic violence incident between Paul and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen leaked online, ABC decided to cancel Season 22 of The Bachelorette, which featured 22 men vying for Paul’s heart.
The video was too damaging for ABC to ignore, and the network called for the season to be canceled entirely.
In the video, Paul throws a chair at Mortensen while his daughter is present. The video comes just days after news broke of an independent investigation into a domestic abuse incident involving Paul and Mortensen in February.
