He was a student at the University of Alabama and obviously a very good kid – I didn’t know him personally but knew his girlfriend Kenna and knew that everyone who loved him was devastated,” one person wrotesharing photos of missing students.

The friends were leaving but Jimmy stayed,” she added.
- Gracie’s mother revealed that police are believed to have his phone, but did not elaborate on how they obtained it. According to family members, Gracie was visiting friends who were studying in Barcelona.
- Gracey is approximately 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark pants and a gold rhinestone cross, his mother detailed in a Facebook post.
After news of the disappearance broke, a spokesperson for the University of Alabama responded to the media, saying, “James Paul Gracie is a student at the University of Alabama and is on a personal trip. University of Alabama staff are in contact with the family and those related to them to provide support and assistance in any way possible.”
