New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulates the Indian cricket team for their victory over the New Zealand national cricket team in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.India registered a commanding 96-run win at the summit to lift the trophy in front of a packed home crowd.
The victory marked a historic milestone as India successfully defended the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title, becoming the first team in the history of the tournament to defend the trophy. The win also holds significance as India became the first country to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on home soil, making the moment even more memorable for millions of fans.The Indian team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, displayed a fearless and energetic cricketing spirit throughout the match.
