Harry Styles has one week left to host Saturday Night Live; the pop star’s latest move has already angered some viewers. Today, the 32-year-old actor barged into Ryan Gosling’s SNL monologue, allowing the Barbie actor to “steal the show.” The two even had a brief interaction.
Meanwhile, Gosling, popular for his roles in “The Notebook,” “La La Land” and “Barbie,” returns to host “Saturday Night Live” with musical guests Gorillaz.
Harry Styles ruins Ryan Gosling’s monologue
Gosling had just finished hosting the show when he suddenly noticed Styles sitting in the audience. “What are you doing here, man?” the Barbie actor asked onstage.
Styles said he came to watch and “get a feel for it.”
“Yeah, it was so professional,” Gosling added. “I just wish someone told me.”
“Can we get him off the screen?” he continued, looking at the photographer, who was wearing an “I Love Harry” shirt.
While the episode was all in good fun, Styles’ presence turned off some viewers.

“This is funny. I hope Ryan Gosling comes back next episode and hijacks Harry Styles’ monologue for revenge lol,” another wrote on Twitter.
“Harry gets more attention on Saturday Night Live than Ryan Gosling hosts,” a third added.

Speaking of Styles, Gosling continued: “I have a new movie coming out and it’s called ‘The Harry Styles Project.’ No — it’s going to be a good movie, though… People are saying it’s like ‘Alien’ meets ‘Interstellar,’ which is crazy because those two movies are like two of the best movies ever made, so they’re kind of like saying it’s double that? I don’t know, I didn’t say that.”
“I’ve always loved making movies about space. These movies gave me some perspective,” he added.
“Sorry, why are we on Harry’s side?” he asked.
