WATCH: Israeli military shares 'perspective' of air force pilots flying to bomb Tehran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted a brief cockpit video on social media showing a fighter pilot flying toward Tehran as the ongoing war between Israel and Iran entered its second week. The 33-second video was posted by the Israeli military on X with the caption: “POV: You are an IDF pilot flying to Tehran.”The video shows multiple fighter jets flying in formation over clouds and mountains while flying toward their destination. The Times of Israel also shared the video and published a translated version of what the pilot said in the recording.“We, the Israeli Air Force pilots and navigators, are currently flying in formation over Tehran, en route to strike historical targets,” the pilot said, according to a translation. The message also addressed the people of Israel: “We will continue to fight day and night as required and always feel your support. We wish you, the citizens of Israel, a safe and quiet Shabbat.”The pilot’s face appears blurred in the footage and may not be identifiable. The video emerged as residents across Iran reported massive explosions in Tehran and other areas on Saturday morning amid Israeli and US military operations, Al Jazeera reported.Earlier this week, the Israeli military released another video showing an air-to-air engagement over Tehran. In the 16-second clip, an Israeli F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter shot down a manned Yakovlev Yak-130 aircraft belonging to the Iranian Air Force. The Israel Defense Forces said it was the first time a manned aircraft had been shot down in an air-to-air battle during the conflict. The wider conflict continues to escalate.
