The UAE Attorney General warned the public against taking or sharing images and videos of where projectiles or shrapnel fell, warning that disseminating such material or misleading information could spread fear and distort the reality in the country.UAE Attorney General Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi said recording or publishing videos of the incident site, including damage caused by falling debris, could cause unnecessary panic among residents. He noted that dissemination of such content or inaccurate reports could lead to misleading information about the national security situation.
Shamsi said national agencies responsible for security and emergency response are performing their duties efficiently to keep communities safe. He emphasized that daily life in the country continues to proceed normally and the authorities take necessary measures to deal with developments.He explained that the relevant authorities are handling incidents involving falling projectiles or fragments within established security and defense frameworks. The public is therefore urged not to film or photograph these locations as dissemination of such footage may impede response and mitigation efforts by official agencies.The Attorney General noted in a statement that despite previous warnings from authorities, some people continued to record the scene of the incident and share the material on social media platforms.He stressed that publishing or disseminating such videos or misleading information may violate the law if it causes public panic, spreads false news or harms public order. Citizens and residents are urged not to take or forward such images, warning that violators may face legal liability under current legislation.Al Shamsi also warned against sharing fabricated videos or digitally manipulated scenes, including content generated using artificial intelligence. Such clips may falsely claim missile strikes, facility attacks, or other events that never occurred.He confirmed that it is a criminal offense to produce or disseminate manipulated content designed to mislead the public. He said that the procuratorate will take legal action against those responsible and will not be lenient.The Attorney General urged the public to abide by the law and rely only on official sources for information, stressing that responsible behavior helps maintain national security and stability.
