Saudi Arabia has officially entered the booking phase for domestic pilgrims, with authorities outlining a strict payment schedule and updating cancellation rules as preparations ramp up.The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Wednesday announced the start of the Hajj package booking phase for domestic pilgrims, including Saudi citizens and expatriates holding valid residence permits. Those who registered their data in the first phase can now select and book packages through the Nusuk app or website. Payments are processed through the SADAD system. Previously, on February 23 (Ramadan 6), the ministry started the data registration phase for domestic pilgrims. The ministry explained that applicants can view the available packages, select the most suitable option, issue a booking invoice and then complete payment through the “SADAD” system. The move is part of what officials say is a comprehensive digital process to organize seating and ensure equitable access. The ministry confirmed that all procedures are conducted electronically through the Nusuk app or the official website: https://www.nusuk.sa/.
Payment terms tighten
According to the ministry, pilgrims must complete payment within 72 hours of booking. The deadline will be valid till Dhul Qada 27, i.e. May 14.From May 15, the payment window will be shortened to 6 hours to ensure that as many beneficiaries as possible have the opportunity to book. If payment is not received within the specified time, the reservation will be automatically canceled. The ministry urges those wishing to perform Hajj within Saudi Arabia to book packages immediately and complete payment within the stipulated deadline. It also highlights the importance of carefully reviewing package details and terms before confirming a contract.
Cancellation and refund rules
The ministry said cancellation requests will be processed in accordance with the approved cancellation policy.Cancellations are allowed without any deduction before the Hajj permit is issued and before the 30th of Eid al-Fitr (April 18). Once the license is issued, deductions will be made based on the date the cancellation request was submitted. No refunds will be given for cancellations made on Dhul Hijjah 1 (May 18) before the platform is closed.
